The Chandra dinam was celebrated in Govt Model Higher Secondary School for Girls, Pattom on July 21st, 2023.  There was an interactive session for the students which helped them to understand more about the solar space and the celestial bodies. The Chief Guest of the session was Dr. T Sundararajan, Associate Programme Director of Space Transportation System VSSC. As part of this, the students had prepared many charts and models. The efforts were huge. The teacher trainees had done a lot to set the exhibition room up to this level.  An exhibition was there for the whole students to observe and analyse the importance of the day. The World Population Day was celebrated at Govt. Model Higher Secondary School for Girls, Pattom. There was a special assembly for the high school students. The need of Population control and the way to use the resources were clearly explained during the assembly.  The students had prepared various posters which depict the relevance of celebrating this day. The teacher trainees helped in hanging these charts and also had gone through these interesting posters.

Maths club was inaugurated at Govt Model Higher Secondary School for Girls, Pattom on 5th July, 2023. The students of the Maths Club had an interactive session thereafter. It was a thought provoking session.

The statewide inauguration of the pre primary kadholsavam 2023 was done at Govt. Model Higher Secondary School for Girls, Pattom on June 30, 2023 at 11 am. The program was inaugurated by the Hon. Education Minister Shri. V. Sivankutty. The presidential address was given by the respected MLA, Adv. V. K. Prasanth. The key note address was given by Shri. P. K. Raju, Deputy Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram Cooperation.  The students of the pre-primary school had recited many stories. The stories were either told individually or in groups with corresponding actions, which was so mesmerizing. The teachers were so supportive and encouraging the students to do the different parts of the students well. The whole session was superb. The parents were also assembled in the auditorium to see the performances of their little ones.  The Hon. Education Minister distributed sweets to the budding little ones.

The PTA meeting in school should be done so as to make the parents aware about the things the students are studying and facing in their day to day life. Keeping this main agenda PTA meetings were conducted in Govt. Model Higher Secondary School for Girls, Pattom before the arrival of the exams.  The parents participated in this meeting would definitely support their children for their betterment in both studies and future endeavors.  The Headmaster of the school, Vincent A, made the parents aware about attending this meeting and the way they should treat the students so that they could study peacefully. Many advices were also provided regarding the use of mobile phones.  The meeting was a really worth one.

An awareness program for the school students regarding the drug prevention. The high school students were targeted for this awareness program. The program was done in as part of the SPC. The awareness program begun with a prayer by the school choir, followed by the welcome speech and presidential address. The main highlight of the program was the puppet show, through which the students were highly motivated and were fully involved in the session. It was a beneficial session for the students as it says the fate of the one who gets addicted to the drugs.
